Can't stay away.

July 5th my mom drove with my sister, Kylie, back to see us in Oregon. They were bringing some of our stuff we had to leave behind because it didn't fit in the trailer. Thank you!

While they were here we had some fun :) We had Wednesday, Thursday, Friday to go play and then they took off early Saturday morning to make the drive back to UT.

Brooklyn didn't know they were coming. To make room for 2 air mattresses I had to put some of her things into her closet. She didn't even question me, she thought it was fun rearranging things and blowing up the beds. She's watching a movie with her babies here.

They made it. Brooklyn was very excited.

Grandma brought her a clifford book and a stuffed clifford.

We don't have a table and all the girls were eating dinner on the couch so poor Bry sat alone outside. :)

That night Brooklyn, Kylie, and Bryant swam and sat in the hot tub.

Avery loved watching them play.

My cutie!

Kylie brought a water gun. It took awhile to figure out how to use it, but then Brooklyn loved it.

Fourth of July

For the Fourth Bryant and I took the girls swimming and then we went to Scott and Trisha's apartment and had yummy hamburgers, thanks Scott. We played monopoly the card game, while Brooklyn watched a movie. Then we decided to go watch the fireworks in Portland. There was a car accident and the road was blocked. We ended up stopping at a cemetery at the top of a hill where a bunch of other people were at. It was really cool. We were standing in Oregon and watching the fireworks going off in Washington. There were tons. We enjoyed our 4th of July and can't wait for next years. We want to go to Portland and watch them over the river.

Strawberry Picking

Some ladies in our ward were telling me about fun things to do here in Oregon. Everyone tries to tell you it's the best place to live. I'm not convinced yet, but I do like to hear about things we've never done and try them. They were telling me about berry picking. It was strawberry season and only had like 2 weeks left. I love strawberries and I thought this was very cool. So we went berry picking for Family Night in the beginning of July. I am so lame and didn't even know what to expect. I had imagined we walked right by these big bushes and pulled the strawberries off. Brooklyn had just gotten a new dress and wanted to wear it. I thought it was defiantly a great idea for her first time wearing it to be picking strawberries and even better for me to wear white capris. When we got to the farm there were rows and rows of little bushes that came up to my calf, and people wearing knee pads and old worn out clothes! We were a little over dressed.

They explained to us how it works, gave us a couple buckets and sent us out to the field. Brooklyn absolutely loved picking them. It was so much fun watching her. We let her have her own bucket and she got to pick strawberries all by herself. We came home with some pretty gross ones, but that's ok. We had been picking for awhile when I noticed Brooklyn had to have sat on a couple strawberries. And then she turned toward me and the front of her was covered in strawberry juice as well. Oh man I am such an idiot. She was such a mess, and my legs were cramping from squatting and trying not to get my pants dirty. But the whole experience was great. We came home with about 5 lbs of strawberries. We made strawberry smoothies that night, and the next night we had homemade angel food cake with strawberries. Yummy! We are looking forward to next year. We will make sure we are better prepared! Oh and if you were wondering, Brooklyn's dress was not ruined! Everything washed out, YAY.

Like a week after going strawberry picking Brooklyn asked, "Can we go pick strawberries again and then after go pick donuts?" :)

Ready to go.

She was so proud of herself.

I love these girls!

Avery enjoyed just being outside.

Brooklyn's New Love...

BOWLING!

3 months ago I took Brooklyn bowling for the first time. My friend gave us a summer pass where kids can bowl one game free everyday until the end of Oct. Pretty cool. Brooklyn loved it. We've only gone a couple times. I totally should have taken advantage of the free bowling, we've still got time.

This week for Family Night our lesson was I will obey. We are using the Nursery Manual as our family night lessons, and it's great. So we talked about obeying Heavenly Father and us. We decided to take her bowling and let her practice listening to us. She did great. She didn't wander off and would wait patiently for her turn. Bryant's friend from school lives out here too so we asked Scott and Trisha to come with us. It was really fun. I bowled 142 my first game, and i'm really proud of that! We bowled 3 games, and Brooklyn 2. The last game they turned the lights off and had the disco ball going with loud music. Brooklyn got so excited and danced all over. I was so mad I didn't have our camera to record it. We were all laughing pretty hard. Everyone there were able to learn a few new moves :)

These pictures are from her first time bowling:
She wanted to carry the ball all by herself.

Caleb is so good with my girls. Brooklyn loves him. He was so cute and asked to hold Avery.

Avery didn't want to be passed around anymore :(
Sorry Reya.

So happy. What a big girl.

Cute Reya. She is only a day younger then Brooklyn.

I put this one so you can see my gorgeous friend Kendra in the background!
She's all I got out here in Oregon :(

My little bowler.

This is why I chose bowling as our obedience test. Last time we went bowling she would run off and wasn't interest in bowling and would just go get lost in the arcade.

Water Babies

We have a pretty nice pool and hot tub at our apartment. Brooklyn is totally a water baby. I love it. If she wants to go swimming she asks for the hot tub. Every day for like two weeks Bryant would walk in the door and she would yell at him, "HOT TUB!" It wasn't a question, she was making him go.
Avery is quite the water baby as well. I think the water is too cold and it takes awhile for me to get in. Avery doesn't even cry. She'll tense up right at first and then she's good.

We're pretty sure when we buy a house the girls are going to think we down graded!

This pink swim suit Brooklyn wore when she was 9 months. Avery is a week shy of 4 months in this picture :)

Cars on 2

For Father's day Brooklyn gave Daddy a pass to go see Cars 2 with her. Which she keeps calling Cars on 2. She was patient all week, but was super excited when Saturday came around and it was time to go. She was sweet and said that Avery and I could tag along.

The girls just waiting for daddy.

Avery - just 9 days shy of 4 months old.

At the theater.

Avery really enjoyed it too. She watched the beginning and then fell asleep.

The Patio

Brooklyn loves being outside. Moving from my mom's house with a nice big yard to an apartment with only a patio made me nervous. I was worried Brooklyn would freak out being trapped inside. Luckily the patio has been satisfying her need to be outside on days that I don't have the car to go anywhere. She has a little crayola table that I set up outside and she loves to color and play on it. She loves to sing at the top of her lungs out there. It usually is at 5 when everyone is arriving home, I hope the neighbors don't mind! The patio has worked out nice for now, but I really can't wait until I can get her a yard of her own!

Playing with play dough.

My little artist.

I don't know if you can see that little black dot. It was a little bug. I heard her yelling spider and help. This is what I found when I got out there :) crazy girl!

Getting Even!

Brooklyn is always in Avery's face and this time Avery got a hold of her hair. Brooklyn yelled for me and then Avery started laughing. That made Brooklyn start laughing. They both thought it was so funny. I love these girls!!!
