Avery's First Swim.
Brooklyn loves loves to go swimming. It had finally gotten warm enough to take Avery with her. Here's pictures of Avery's first time swimming.
Worst picture EVER of me. It was sunny and Bry and I were talking, but this is the only picture of Avery right before getting in the water.
... until I put her in this floaty. Her legs were tangled in the netting and it was quite the process getting her in.

A Day In Portland
Saturday June 13th my mom was going to be flying home to Utah. She didn't leave until 4pm so we decided to hang out in Portland and then take her over to the airport. There were a couple things we wanted to do. I'm not sure if I have said this before, but we actually lived in Beaverton for 6 months back at the end of 2007 for school. Long story but we ended up at BYU and everything worked out. Anyway my mom and dad came and helped us drive our car and moving truck to Utah. My dad had seen a restaurant on Food network and wanted to go. They're supposed to have one of the best crab cakes. It's called Jake's Famous Crawfish. So we went right before we took off. My mom had wanted to go back. So that was on our list and we also wanted to go over to VooDoo Donuts, also another food network discovery.

We got to Portland and apparently it was the Rose Festival or something like that. There was a big parade going one. We watched a little and then went over to the Saturday Market. It also happened to be fleet week. So there were a bunch of ships and old war boats on the river. After the market we headed over to Jake's Famous Crawfish for lunch, picked up our VooDoo donuts, and then walked my mom into the airport.
THANKS AGAIN MOM FOR HELPING US WITH THE MOVE! COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU!!!!

I love this picture. It makes me think of Big Foot.
We didn't go on any of the ships, but it was cool looking at them.

Making Bracelets
One of my mom's hobbies is making jewelry. Brooklyn loved to playing with her bracelets and h strands of beads. So when were at JoAnnes and my mom saw these bracelet kits for kids and she had to get them for Brookie.

Making bracelets with Grandma.

She got to choose what beads to use.

First one done :)

I love how she looks like she's going to backhand me :)
Thanks Grandma!

Like Christmas!
We haven't had our own stuff in over a year. We put most of our stuff in storage May 2010 before we headed out to Maryland for Bryant's first internship. Then Bryant went up to Boston and I went to my parents. Bryant joined us mid December and we just stayed at my parents until we moved here to Oregon. It was very exciting for me to open the boxes and pull out all my dishes and pictures and random things. We had a couple boxes of toys Brooklyn hasn't seen that whole time and she went nuts. To her this was like Christmas!!! We're the best parents giving her all these new toys :) We should have just saved them and given them to her for Christmas. She wouldn't know the difference.

There is this one puppy that has a string attached so you can walk her. Brooklyn named her Sally (I'm pretty sure that's what she named her. I know her kitty she also named Sally.) and she talks to her and wants to take her everywhere. It's very cute.

Cannon Beach
My mom was so nice to drive up with us and help us get unpacked. I'm so lucky to have her. We felt that it would be easier for Brooklyn too. Instead of cutting her off cold turkey she had a week transition with her grandma in Oregon. I didn't want it to be all work so we made sure to have some fun while she was here. One of the days we went to Cannon Beach. We ate first at a place called Mo's. We all tried their famous Clam Chowder, mine was just a little bite. Then we walked out to Haystack Rock and explored in the water around it. It was very pretty. Brooklyn really enjoyed it.

I love my family!

Brooklyn loved the chowder.

She was excited to see the beach.
We saved our bread from lunch to feed the birds. Brooklyn got scared because tons of seagulls came flying.
There's a couple of streams that run from across the beach.
She had a blast. She would just take off running.

I love this picture.

They spun her a full 360!
Brooklyn found a sea dollar. Is that what they're called?
Second attempt at feeding the birds.

She had to really wind up to throw it :)

My cutie!
My baby!

The whole fam.
Haystack Rock
I want to go out to that lighthouse!
Playing and exploring at the base of Haystack Rock.

Bry found a purple starfish.
Brooklyn picked up the whole leg.

Bry also found a little crab.
Brooklyn seriously was in heaven.
She found a crab of her own and wasn't scared to pick it up.

We were waiting for Bryant to get the car. Brooklyn's pants were soaked, so she had to go pantless.
